snyder avenue between broad & passyunk

hello! i'm a small but decidedly urban stretch of snyder ave. you'll recognize me from all the trash that accumulates on my sidewalks, in the street, and every nook & cranny in sight. it's kinda cute when you get used to it. i'm fun to visit. i may not have all those big name shops that broad street has, such as mcdonalds, dollar tree, footlocker, dunkin' donuts, etc., but i am home to the MELROSE DINER! (high on atmosphere & they have some "food" too), and a quiet little spot across the street, dinic's tavern. stop in for a cold bud, forget the roast beef sandwiches though, and some friendly banter with the regulars...that is if they can still speak (they open early, you see, and most of the patrons like to relax in it's smoke filled environment ALL DAY.) oh, and there's texas weiners too. don't know why they call it that, they ain't that big. in fact they're kinda shrivelled up and the buns are soggy. but that's not all i have to offer. there are plenty of other great sights & smells to behold. so next time you're on your way to anywhere else (maybe catchin' that bus to Chester), make a pit stop at broad & snyder...see what i'm talkin' about. oh, & don't forget to leave some trash behind on the sidewalk, street, anywhere ya like!
