Sanguinary was formed in early 1995 and set out to play old-school, brutal-as-fuck death metal against all trends. The band combines raw death metal with energetic and brutal
live shows. Taking musical and lyrical inspiration from war, death and human misery, Sanguinary is a band that will put fear into the hearts of people.
Having released their
first rehearsal tape in December 1998 which captured the essence of the band: raw old school death metal, Sanguinary has appeared on countless split-tapes, compilation tapes
and CDs. The first official demo, "Bloody Death" was released in early 2000 and sold over 600 copies worldwide. Widespread positive reviews in 'zines across the globe prompted
the band to record their first full-length CD, "Gutted - The Final Assault" which was released in 2002. In 2007 Sanguinary released their second full-length "Firestorm" on Murder Rekords. The band is currently working on new material and a re-release of "Gutted" together with unreleased studio material.
Sanguinary has become known for their
powerful live performances, and have over the years played with bands such as: Last Days of Humanity, Centurian (RIP), Pyemia, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Crustacean, Katafalk,
Mean Machine, Gheestenland, Winter Siege and Salacious Gods.
Sanguinary will continue on their campaign to achieve world-wide domination.
