La band è nata nel 1995 col nome CRIPTA i cui componenti originari erano alla batteria MACINA e alla voce e al basso BOGDAN .Solo nel 2000 sono stati integrati nuovi componenti: PUTRE (fratello di MACINA) al basso e JOE MUSSI (padre di MACINA e PUTRE) alla chitarra. Da qui inizia l'era dei ZAMUNDRA. Questa formazione rimane invariata fino all' agosto 2006 esibendosi per anni in numerosi locali e partecipando a vari festival, proponendo principalmente cover di gruppi metal (pantera, sepultura, slayer ecc.) e inserendo nel repertorio qualche pezzo proprio tra cui MASSACRO e INCUBUS (che sono presenti nel nostro cd dopo essere stati rivisitati). Uno dei festival più importanti a cui abbiamo partecipato è stato il “Tribute band mania” nel 2000 dove abbiamo fatto il tributo ai Sepultura guadagnandoci interviste, articoli e recensioni positive su riviste come “Tutto Musica” e “Hard!”.La formazione attuale nasce nell'agosto 2006 quando JOE MUSSI abbandona la band e PUTRE decide di prendere il suo posto per tornare alla sua prima passione :la chitarra. Anche BOGDAN torna alle origini riprendendo a suonare il basso mentre canta. Una volta costituitasi la band definitiva abbiamo deciso di realizzare il desiderio comune di farci conoscere per le nostre idee musicali. Così nel 2006 MACINA,PUTRE e BOGDAN trasformano quelle che erano state per anni solo idee in SONGS AFTER DEATH.The band was born in 1995 with the name CRIPTA: original members were MACINA (drums) and BOGDAN (bass guitar and voice.New members came in 2000: PUTRE (brother of MACINA) playing bass guitar and JOE MUSSI (father of MACINA and PUTRE) at guitar. Here begins the era of ZAMUNDRA. This formation remains unchanged until August 2006, exhibiting for years in numerous clubs and participating to several festivals, mainly proposing cover of metal bands (Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer etc) and some original songs, among which MASSACRO and INCUBUS (included in our CD after some re-arrangement). One of the more important festivals to which we have participated was the “Tribute band mania” in 2000 where we made tribute to Sepultura, with good and positive interviews, articles and reviews on music magazines like “Tutto Musica” and “Hard!”.The present line-up was born in August 2006, when JOE MUSSI leaves the band and PUTRE decided to take its place in order to return to its first passion: the guitar. Also BOGDAN returns to the origins resuming to play bass guitar while singing. Once delivered up the definitive band, we decided to realize our common desire to introduce us with our musical ideas. Therefore in 2006 MACINA, PUTRE and BOGDAN transform those that had been for years only ideas in SONGS AFTER DEATH.
