About Me
Hello! I am Ellie, and I am a beautiful, fluffy, mini Ragdoll feline .
I found my pets, Julie and Mike, at a Petsmart Human Society adoption center , where I was comfortably awaiting for a new human to come my way. One day, Julie showed up and looked at me in my cozy kennel, and when I talked to her and rubbed against her hands at the doors I saw from the look in her eyes that she would be taking me home, soon. She said that her man, Mike, just had to see me, that he would enjoy the way I spoke cat words. She seemed to particularly enjoy the silly little "mrrp" endearments I gave her. She talked to other humans at Petsmart, filled out forms, then left... but I knew she would be back.
Other humans came by to admire me, and many others filled out forms as well, but as I predicted Julie came back to see me while I waited at Petsmart. (It's a wonderful place, that store! Full of wonderful smells and toys for cats, although I've always wondered why our pets named it after themselves instead of for *us*.) Other felines came and went around me in the next few days, but I was happy to have their companionship and pleased that they found their own pets to take to their new homes. One fellow, a strong, wiry, handsome flamepoint Siamese named Sinatra, came to be in a kennel nearby me. He was about the same age as me, and was eager to go home; he was a bit nervous about finding an adequate pet, but I knew he'd be all right. The humans at Petsmart talked amongst themselves a lot, and it seems that the felines there don't usually stay longer than about a week because we're all in such high demand as quality owners. I knew we had no worries.
Sure enough, Julie came by again and this time she brought Mike. I was very pleased to see her and she introduced me to her human, who was absolutely ga-ga over my speech to him. He grinned widely in that silly adorable human way, saying, "She talks to me!"
Nearby, Julie had met Sinatra, who was doing his best to entrance her. He hadn't met her when she'd be there before, his having come to Petsmart just the day before. I must admit, he really *is* a handsome fellow with his unusual coloring. She opened his kennel and introduced him to Mike, and Sinatra, being the nervous sort, ended up climbing up onto Mike's head in an attempt to get closer to the ceiling (one of his now well-known habits).
Well, we both ended up in our new home together. There had been another, older beloved feline in the home a few months before. Julie says that Woody was a wonderful cat, and I'm sure he was. In the times I've managed to scoot out the back door into the enticing yard, I've found his catnip-covered gravesite. I believe I've seen his spirit passing through the home, as well, and he is very handsome and content.
Although we don't always get along, Sara is typing this in for me. I can type for myself, of course, but I wouldn't want to ruin the perfect sharp edge on my claws. I'm sure she's using all sorts of big words that I wouldn't really use (yes, Sara, type THAT in, too!), but I shouldn't complain.
More later when I have more time. Welcome to my page!
