Finnegans Irish Amber is a local beer that has more than great taste; 100-percent of all profits are donated to charities and non-profit organizations throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and parts of Wisconsin. Yes, the only non-profit beer company right here in Minnesota.Finnegans is contract brewed through a local brewer, Summit, and once all business expenses are paid, grants are distributed to local charities and non-profit groups that focus on ending poverty and helping at-risk youth. Finnegans experienced 64-percent growth in 2007 and over $100,000 have been donated since first being profitable in 2003. Jacquie Berglund is the owner, co-founder, and the only employee; all other aspects, of the business, are accomplished by over 900 dedicated volunteers.
