*WRITTEN WORK*
INVASION!
Co-founder and editor with Alejandra Espino of INVASION! Fanzine in 2002. We published 6 limited edition issues and two mini-editions. Influenced by Román Gubern and Umberto Eco’s semiology approach, INVASION! focused on well written texts embracing pop culture subjects such as comics, cult films, science fiction, videogames and literature. Some collaborators who have perfumed our publication include celebrated artists Abraham Cruzvillegas and Daniel Guzmán, photographer Alejandro Voorduin, designers Benjamin Estrada and Maricela GarcÃa, among others. The fanzine is currently out of print but some say every found edition has reached a considerable price. The “Japanishu†issue is extremely rare to acquire and maybe the most celebrated for geeky fans. We still have very few copies of #666. If you’re interested to have this precious edition in your hands or bathroom magazine rack, feel free to contact me.
Some other written work I’ve published includes articles about art history. Having a BA in Art History, I have easily collaborated with Silabario (AZ newspaper), artte.com, esmas.com, and most recently with R&R magazine in Mexico City. Yes, I’m the author of those album and concert reviews you crave for every month.
