Myspace Comments | Myspace Graphics | Myspace Surveys Hello everyone, my name is Joe Frioni and im gonna tell you a little about what i do and why i do it. I started playin guitar at the age of 13, with the help of some long time friends { Russel Hoffmaster- of Whiskey Grin } helped me learn to play the acoustic Guiar and it went from there. Years i have practiced and wrote songs for only my friends to listen in close sessions and camp fires and what not, but i got the chance to do an open mic to prove to myslelf that i could get past my stage fright and get out there and try to sing if front of about 100+ people. I got my first start with a show called " Felicia's Open Mic " www.weallhave24hours.com, the show was at the Beaver Valley Mall in a place at the time called Mystic Bay.. I played two songs, Inside My eyes written by myself and a Hootie and the Blow Fish cover. Ever sence then i have been playing at really great places, The Hard Rock Pittsburgh, Mulligans, Mystic Bay, Armandos, The Copper Dog, The Silk House Cafe, Uncommon Grounds Cafe, and The Shadow Lounge. One of my biggest breaks was Nov 22 when i got to open for a group around the US, Ernie Halter, and Tony lucca, My styleings are told to be of my own, but my influnences are the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, and Jack Johnson.
