About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
I love stargazer-lilies, shades of purple, turquoise, wearing BLACK to feel sexy, autumn colors, red wine, chocolate, ice-cream, sweet and spicy things, painting oil on canvases, doing ceramics/sculpture and other kinds of art, literature, poetry...and much more. I'm a dreamer...I reach for the sky and fall hard sometimes, but I am too stubborn to give in. People tell me I'm too stubborn, too emotional, too sensitive, too romantic...I should alter some of these traits...but then it wouldn't be LY anymore would it? haha...so deal with it! =)I like being a bohemian gypsy/hippie who wears way too much jingles and hang out at the flea market selling perfume on bare-feet. haha. I like to create my own aesthetics because my creativity is where I begin and fit. I'm in love with Jason Daniel Bereznay (a.k.a. Boody), my family, friends, and the feeling rainy days, or autumn days filled with colorful fallen leaves give me. I love anything that has to do with Angelina Jolie, yes, I'm a little obsessed. =)I am an aspiring artist, studying and making art because it is a part of me. I hope to use it as a tool to do something useful for my life and for the world. I see the world through visual images as well as through words... thus, I also really enjoy reading literature and writing too. I don't ever wish for fame if my work is at all worthwhile, but I do hope for recognition and interest in others to look at my work. I am selective on what is considered "art" and what contributes to the development of the art world...but I recognize them and am amazed by all the talent around me.I have changed drastically in the last several years of my life...for many reasons unsaid to many, but despite painful memories, I am at a state in my life where I feel very content to be me. Not boastful, but proud. And that's the best feeling.I'm grateful for everyone who has stuck by me through different times of my life and have helped me mold out this "Ly" I am today.Nothing should be taken for granted or get bored of easily. I know that we are always constantly changing, but the past is never just yesterday. It affects today...and the next day, and the next. It makes the future.I am very excited and hopeful about the new President Elect Barack Obama. I hold high hopes that he will try in his best capabiltity to do well for this nation and our people.I like to find purpose and to contribute, and it's important to know that others around me care to do so too...in any way or form fitting to them.Last but never least, I hate, hate ever being called the term "girly"--because I am not. I can raise a fight when I'm mad and can probably kick your sister's ass. But you can say "feminine" and that will probably pass. =)I hope to write a novel some day...greatly inspired by socially aware authors such as Toni Morrison...to contribute another voice to the Asian American diaspora. Thanks for stopping by.http://www.xanga.com/lalyla
