About Me

Jazz guitarist with a little electric bass and piano. I also make beats every once in a while (such as the ones on this page). I've only been playing for five years but I've been working real hard at it and music has most definitely been in my blood. My Great Grandfather was IRVING BERLIN and my dad is an accomplished composer/educator/performer.............. I have/am studying notably with Ryan Zoidis, Jesse Lewis, Ed Mac Eachen, Rory Stuart, and a host of amazing/legendary musicians AT THE NEW SCHOOL FOR JAZZ AND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC in NYC where I have been for three semesters. Since moving to New York last year I've had the chance to perform with a lot of great musicians in great venues (St. Nick's Pub, Rockwood Music Hall, Phoebe's Cafe and a bunch of local hangs near where I live in the East Village). Besides my main focus as a performer I love teaching and have become very involved with music education over the past couple years. During the past three summers (and counting) for seven weeks I work as a TA at the New York Summer Music Festival (NYSMF), teaching/studying/performing alongside some amazing faculty, students and visiting artists (www.nysmf.org). I have also recently become involved peripherally with the New York Pops as a teaching artist, helping out teaching and doing recordings with the Ronald McDonald House rock n' roll workshops ---------------- That's that, Peter..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
