9 Years Within

9 Years Within was formed by local Birmingham musician Russ Vale. The first album "What Doesn't Kill Me, Brings Me Closer To You" was a collection of short ambient/downtempo instrumentals and this was how the project was going to stay. Running along side this was another project with local singer Heather Bennett-Watson. Russ decided that 9 Years Within should move in a totally different direction and after long discussions, Heather and Russ decided to incorporate the sounds of 9 Years Within in to their own material, albeit with guitars and percussion. The new material will surprise a lot of old 9 Years Within fans but will be won over by Heather's quite simply, amazing vocal talents. And the pair have found a forte in songwriting. In the coming months a few rough demos will be uploaded to myspace before they go into a studio and record their songs professionally.
