I'm a Children's Librarian. I grew up about 10 minutes from the ocean and go home often to visit my parents. I have a younger sister who lives in Boston. I have a kitten named Patsy (well, not really a kitten anymore-she's two years old). She is named after my aunt who lives in Florida who has always loved cats and encouraged me to get one.I graduated from high school in 1993 and went to Trenton State College where I majored in history. After graduation I worked at Pier One for over a year and then went back to school for my Masters in Library Science at Rutgers. While I have a great job and work with wonderful people, I love my days off and sometimes wish I was on a permanent vacation.I love to travel. One of my favorite places to visit is Disney World (I'm a kid at heart). One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited is Montana. Words do no justice to that beauty-it's just breath taking. I've visited London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, AR with my friend Christine (you know-London Bridge is falling down-that bridge). I went to Hawaii in November 2007. It was beautiful and I can't wait to go back. I guess the next place on my list to visit is Alaska. And I'd like to visit my friend Viola in Geneva in 2008.My parents live about 15 minutes from the beach so I try to get to Ocean City as often as possible. I think the best time is September when most of the tourists have left for the summer. I love sitting on the beach, listening to the ocean, with the sand beneath my feet. It's probably the most relaxing thing to do.
