J Win
Lyrical Poet, Song-Writer and Producer
Let your imagination go sizzlin’ wild! Drop a shot of funky Asian and infuse it with a blue blood Caucasian, what’s your concoction? Right. How bout’ a hybrid artist that can flow with mad talent…J Win.
Don’t forget da damn name, cuz he ain’t about to let you!
Salt Lake City, Utah was the backdrop for this Flow-Master. He’s a recognized song writer, producer and record label owner, Park Boy Entertainment…all this is a long way from a bunch of nuttin’ as a punk hood rat in Rose Park, Utah.
Ask J Win on any given day how he got from “there†to “hereâ€â€¦you’ll get the same response time after time. “I started not caring about shit, anymoreâ€â€¦when his one and only blood brother died. “Man, he was my best friendâ€.
One can argue, we all in the struggle, but is that a justifiable reason to run the streets, 51/50? Is it understandable if you loose yo’ padn’r and you ain’t got a grip? Maybe, maybe not.
No matter, J Win flipped it and saw an opportunity to have something cavi when he began spittin’ rhymes freestyle and battled with the best! Chillin’ with the local rap artist should have made him folk, but the truth…da biz ain’t like dat! Fast-forward…a hella of a lot of ambition and God-given gifts have since allowed him to work with highly reputable Boss Ballers like Snoop Dogg, The Game, Tech 9, Dante Thomas, Gucci Mane, T.i., juvinile, Daz Dillinger and many more just to name a few!
His look is juvenile and presentation is still elementary; but shut your eyes and lean your head back, you’ll find his hooks and the flowetry will “keep yo’ heads ringingâ€!
An intense love of music has always run deep for this lyrical poet; and it’s that beating organ that has him flamboastin’ from Rose Park to Park Avenue…word!
Know this, J Win…he don’t need to floss…
You know what they say in the world of Hip Hop…
Game recognize game!
Park Boy Ent. for Independent labels, Bands, and ArtistsWorldwide Digital & Physical DistributionPark Boy is a fairly new label which aims to represent the worlds most talented bands, artists, and indie labels by delivering their music to fans that want to hear it! We promote and sell our artists music via our worldwide distribution network offering new opportunities to unsigned bands.Park Boy provides a wealth of benefits and opportunities to independent labels and publishers. We bring together strategic and technical expertise in the digital music world and a credible, proven history in the independent music community to create a digital distribution partner perfectly suited to guide your music into the digital future. Here's what we'll help you do:Get Paid! There are dozens of opportunities to get paid for your music online right now. Aside from on-demand streaming, download, and CD-burning subscription services like Apple I-Tunes, Sony Connect, Rhapsody, and Napster, there are interactive radio services and a number of other businesses that offer various music delivery methods, including mp3 download stores and ring tones. Many of these services are primarily focused on major label content largely to the exclusion of independents. Much of the music suffers from the same homogenized blandness evident in commercial radio today without representation from the 20% market share of the independent music community. Most services recognize this deficit, but nonetheless lack the resources to work with all of the independents and look to distributors such as Park Boy Ent. to fill the gap.Park Boy Saves Time and Makes Money for Independents No legal fees to negotiate agreements with dozens of services. No need to encode in multiple formats and deliver to each service. Park Boyz collective bargaining power leads to guaranteed promotions on many services, helping to level the playing field between independents and majors. Most independents have enough work just getting their music produced, promoted, and into stores, without spending the time and money for expensive legal and administrative services necessary to negotiate deals with the dozens of digital music outlets. Instead, you can sign one deal with a partner you can trust which then handles all negotiations and associated details. Park Boy distributes royalties on a Quarterly basis and provides comprehensive sales and royalty reports through its web-based Rights holder.Promotion and Advocacy Majors have a tight grip on most of the traditional media outlets which have been critical to breaking artists and selling music. Online music services and other digital distribution outlets represent a new opportunity for independents to generate income and garner recognition for their artists.Park Boy Ent. uses its collective might to ensure that its rights holders are actively and aggressively promoted through these new outlets. Exclusives, pricing promotions, and other incentives that encourage service partners to feature and promote the discovery of your music will help ensure that fans find the music they want and feel good about getting. Park Boy Ent. also works to ensure that every online use of a rights holder's music is accompanied by links to artist homepages or other preferred sites. The ability to release music online quickly after it's produced - outside of normal release cycles - opens new doors for artists to keep fans engaged. Digital release promotions before the physical street date are another easy way to generate hype and promote your releases. What Park Boy Ent. Needs From You Your only real obligation to Park Boy is to keep us up-to-date with complete information about your releases and company operations, so that we can ensure your music is available online as quickly as possible, work with you on marketing and promotions, and so that we can provide prompt reporting and payment. What we do for our signed Artists and Labels Navigating the digital music world can be a cumbersome and daunting task. Managing the collection of your royalty payments from multiple sources and distributing it to you in one payment on a quarterly basis. What's in it for musicians? Bands don't usually make money from their record labels. The press has written for decades of top-selling, major-label pop stars forced to live on $15,000 per year. Musicians typically make money from: Live performances (i.e.: concerts) Selling CDs, posters and t-shirts at concertsWhat does Park Boy Ent. do for you, the Artist? We sell your music. How much money does this really mean? We don't know. One thing we do know: the 50/50 split we offer means that a $10 album sale yields $5.00 for you, the artist. A typical record label will pay you 25 cents to a dollar in royalties on a CD sale after they recoup their expenses (if that ever occurs). That means we have to sell 1/10th as many albums to give the artist the same revenue. Can we do it? We don't know yet, but that's our goal. We help you get heard. Internet Radio, Kazaa, Napster and Gnutella have proven that people want to listen to music and share it with their friends. We provide all the technology to enable widespread Internet distribution, and we do it legally, without violating anybody's copyright. We keep the quality high. One big reason good music has trouble getting heard is that there's too much junk out there. We filter it out, by selecting music ourselves, recruiting artists directly as well as listening to submissions. We have an audience who comes here to listen to the great artists we've signed. We can help you network with other musicians, promoters and fans. This will help you get more gigs and sell your stuff to them. The big money is in licensing music for games, movies and commercials. We promote your music for this use, and offer an easy system for music-licensing customers to find your music and buy it online. The contract you sign with us helps us make money from your music from a variety of sources, and we split any money we do dig up 50/50 with you. You make the great music; we do the grunt work of finding money for it.Your contract with us is totally non-exclusive and limited only to the music you send us: you can (and should) keep promoting your music yourself. You can print and sell your own CDs, compete with our web site; even sign with another record label. There is no long-term commitment to send us more music: if you want to part ways, don't send us any more music. We'll retain the right to keep finding money for the music you have sent us (and we'll keep sending you 50%) and we won't have limited your rights to do anything you like with the music you have sent us.What we are NOT about: NOT ABOUT big promises: we can deliver technology, a bunch of effort on our part, an audience, and maybe some money. We'll do our best, but what we're doing is new and unproven.NOT ABOUT limiting the artist: the contract you sign with us lets us find money for your music, provided we split the money 50/50. You're free to sign any contract with anybody else, and/or promote your music yourself however you see fit.NOT ABOUT buying you studio time: you have to figure out how to get a good quality recording yourself. However, we can offer these services so that you can get a super-good deal on studio time.
