Fly Fast Record is the first record label in Europe exclusively devoted to punk, rock and folk music from Asia. Starting in April 2007 Fly Fast is going to release three or four records a year from bands and musicians from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and India. Fly Fast is not a common World Music label. The bands on Fly Fast break new ground beyond their cultural traditions and tie up to international standards, but still they are different from all bands known in the West.All releases on Fly Fast are accompanied by tours throughout Europe. The label also encourages western bands to cooperate with Asian bands for recording songs and going on tour together, in Germany and Asia as well. Fly Fast sticks up for Asian punk and rock music to make it more popular in Europe and thereby initiate intercultural exchange.
