So basically, this is how I understand it:
Mike and James were in a band that they named something like "These Wobbly Things That Are Sticking Out Of My Shoulders Are Robotical And They Belong To Me." They were doing pretty well, Mike drumming away like a possessed monkey while James played guitar hanging upside from the ceiling like a bat, and they were making some nice tunes. But then their bassist was all weird on them and ran away from home, and they tried to get a vocalist but he couldn't do anything very often, so they kinda slipped into the realm of t3h suck and did nothing for a while. Then the Shorecrest Battle of the Bands was coming up, so they decided to try their luck with making a band again. They hired this one scrappy-looking kid that had a hankering to play some blues guitar, and he went by the name of John Friday, but later Mike and James decided that his last name would be cooler if it was German, so now his name is now John Freitag. After playing together for a bit, they knew they had potential, but they also knew that they weren't complete. So they hired me to come in and play bass and bring the energy that the band needed to be able to make music that would burn down buildings and make mountains explode with the single tap of a snare drum. And then we won the Shorecrest Battle of the Bands and now we are on to bigger and greater things.
That is how i see it anyway.
