History of Mirage Entertainment
Rebecca Hollis, C.E.O. of Mirage Entertainment, has always had a passion for dancing and entertaining. As a young child she was constantly choreographing dance routines and putting on performances for her family and friends. At a young age she began seeing Go-Go dancers on TV and in movies, and became fascinated by the way that these women were portrayed. She loved the idea of being a glamorous girl, dancing in the limelight, and being idolized by a crowd of people. Due to her natural talents and her frequency in the club scene, she was spotted by a club owner and was asked to be a dancer at his club. Finally her dreams of being one of those glamorous girls came true, and she was ready to make her dreams a reality. She then joined the traveling group Lesbosagogo and began dancing in California, Arizona, and Mexico, where she was given the stage name “Mirage.” As she began to get more familiar with the industry she had the thought to branch off and start her own group. Being the entrepreneur that she is, she wanted to have the best dancers working under her, create a clothing line, and be able to send her dancers to a diverse range of events. Her first attempt was successful as she was contracted at Club Sanctuary and sending her dancers around the Phoenix area. But this group was just the beginning to her dreams. In early 2007 she finally transformed her dance group into a business and began Mirage Entertainment. She had a formal casting call, hired dancers, and began to formally marketing her company. She wanted to have an eclectic group of dancers that danced at straight and gay clubs, so that they could entertain any crowd. Shortly after she established her company, she began designing clothes for men and women that featured the Mirage Entertainment logo. Her tank tops, thongs, and other athletic apparel are being sold at local venues and clubs that she is promoting at. Her dancers can not only be found at Club Vibe, Burn, Upper Deck, and The Loft but can also be seen in her fashion shows that feature her clothing line. She also has a webpage that features information about her dancers, company, and apparel. Rebecca is thankful for all of the opportunities that she had that have led her to where she is today. She is looking forward to expanding her company and hopefully establishing groups in other cities and marketing Mirage Entertainment as a source for diverse glamorous dancers who can truly entertain. She says that, “This is an illusion that you will not want to fade.”
