About Me
Nissim is an accomplished musician who lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. Nissim has been writing rock/pop songs and instrumental music since the early 90’s.
While studying music composition at the School of Music – Conservatorium, Monash University, Nissim composed instrumental music which includes pieces for chamber orchestra, string quartet and a number of electro-acoustic pieces.
In 1994, together with guitarist Alex Polak and British cellist Ivan Hussy http://www.celloman.co.uk/, Nissim recorded his debut album “The Missing Manâ€. This warm and earthy CD contains 12 original tracks.
In 1996, together with Paul “Pablo†Wahrl Nissim formed the local rock band “Purrâ€, who toured Melbourne and country Victoria up until recently. In 1999, Purr recorded its self titled EP, which was co-produced and recorded by Peter “Reggie†Bowman of Southern Sons.
In 2000 Nissim wrote “Desertâ€, an electro-acoustic piece for ensemble and synth, which was written for and performed by Melbourne’s re-sound http://www.re-sound.com/.
In the same year Nissim has played drums and percussion with the “New Monash Orchestraâ€, who’s repertoire ranged from classical through romantic to contemporary.
In 2003, Nissim completed his Masters degree in music composition at Monash University, Melbourne Australia, under the supervision of composer, Thomas Reiner.
In 2004, Nissim recorded and produced his second album “Once Upon a Timeâ€, in his Melbourne home studio.
In 2004, Nissim wrote “Until You Return†for Israeli singer Idit Eshel, which received quite a bit of air play over in Israel.
In 2005, Nissim and Nathalie had baby Zac, he is by far Nissim’s best production to date...
