Frank Navarro

At the age of five,Frank began his musical odysey on the drum kit, his grandfather,John Navarro had recently retired from session drumming and touring,and wanted to pass his skills and experience onto his grandson who already showed signs of musical ability,singing along to the likes of Led Zeppelin,Rush,Journey,and Styx.Although the drums were not exactly his forte the experience gave him a glimpse into what it takes and feels to play music and decided it would be his life.THroughout the next couple of years his uncle would introduce him to heavier music like,Megadeth,Sod,Slayer.and Anthrax.THis was it for him.At age 14 he began playing guitar and took to it very well,learning Metallica and Anthrax songs by ear and spending hours everyday picking apart and learning the solos.Marty Friedman and Yngwie Malmsteen were his early heroes and he would spend countless hours studying and learning their techniques and general ass kicking.A year later he replaced the lead giutarist of local Chicago Mexican rock band La Patria at only 15.A few shows followed but he bowed out of a Mexican tour basically because his parents valued education over his music.IN the next few years he would do the same,practicing,studying,and dominating the axe.Frank is a proud member of Pistol Whipping a Blind Kid.and is always willing to help.You can contact him here or thru Facebook.for booking info.or really anything that you may need facemelting guitars!!Thank you!!
