Jacek Namyslowski was born in 27.02.1982 in Warsaw, Poland.
He started to study the trombone when he was 15. In 2005 he graduated at the Jazz Department of the Katowice Music Academy.
His first band, Jacek Namyslowski Quintet won the "Polish Young Jazz & Blues Combos Competition in year 2000. With the band "Timeless" he awarded the first prize of the "Jazz Standards Competition" in Siedlce in 2002, where he also received the price for individual expression. The same band won the "Bielsko-Biala Jazz Competition" in 2003, and recorded a CD, "Total Time", in 2004.
In 2004 Jacek won the scholarship of the Katowice Music Academy, which enabled him to go to "Jamey Aebersold's Summer Jazz Camp", where he had master classes with such great jazz musicians as David Baker, Conrad Herwig and John Fedchock.
Jacek is a member of Zbigniew Namyslowski Quintet, with whom he recorded 2 CDs ("Standards" and "Assymetry). He also plays in the Jerzy Malek Septet ("Spirit of The Time"), and in the Kalatowki BigBand, which has appeared in the Tygmont Jazz Club in Warsaw every Monday since September 2005. Jacek is the leader of his own bands - Jacek Namyslowski Quartet and Quintet.
