Warrior Squadron

About Me

Warrior Squadron began in 2000, even though the founding members didn't realize it yet. It was a hot summer day when Metal Maximus and Jimmy Wolf were sitting in front of Sonic Clang Studios enjoying the weather. Jimmy, very interested in the primitive weapon design of early man, was carving a wooden dagger. Upon the completion of this fierce piece, he hollered out the phrase "Dagger of Justice!!!" Maximus jumped to his feet in excitement and it was then that the foundations of Warrior Squadron were in place. Involved in other projects at the time, Maximus and Jimmy all but forgot about this idea.

It was in 2003 when the idea of the project was finally resurrected. Heavily inspired, Jimmy and Maximus quickly wrote several new songs including "Serious Injury or Death", which later would become the group's most successful single to date, and the somewhat less popular but equally brutal "Samurai verses Ninja". At this time the band seemed unstoppable, gaining an impressive cult following. Unfortunately, conflict within the group caused the Warrior Squadron machine to come to a screeching halt. For 2 years there were no signs of activity from the amazing trio. Fans started to accept the fact that the future of Warrior Squadron did not look hopeful.

Then in 2006, rumors spread through the music community. Was Warrior Squadron planning a comeback? PR representatives from Sonic Clang Records denied the possibility for quite some time, probably to avoid disappointing the fans. Finally in 2007, the official word was out, Warrior Squadron were back in full force with new material and hinting at the possibility of a new album sometime soon. Jimmy is hesitant to give out too many details, but he's confident this album is going to take the metal world by storm.
