WHAT'S A MIGGEDY?!?!?!? Miggedy (MIG-ed-e) n. 1. A natural ability to develop a oneness between the music and the crowd; which causes a frenzy of dance, resulting in much sweating, drinking and pleasure. 2. The wisdom needed to know what to play, when to play it and for how long. 3. All that music is embodies within one individual. Steve 'Miggedy' Maestro caught the attention of Elroy Smith, Program Director for WGCI, after winning a station-sponsored Mixshow DJ Contest in September of 1992. Steve is the creator of the "Old School Mini-Mix" used by ABC affiliates Tom Joyner and Doug Banks. He was the first Mixshow Director of WGCI, WVAZ and WGCI-AM for Clearchannel Chicago, Urban. The 'Miggedy' 'Miggedy' Maestro, as he was affectionately called, wowed Chicago radio until mid 2003, which is when he choose to relocate to NY. Not limiting his unique style of mixing to Chicago, in 1993 he was hired through Gary Bernstein of SuperRadio Networks, which now boasts 120+ stations. Steve has maintained his syndicated relationship with SuperRadio and can be heard across the US several times a month. Maestro is not just a name. Steve is an accomplished songwriter and producer. As a team, Maestro and Michele Laws, daughter of the famed Ronnie Laws, formed the group BRIO! Their energetic and hip song writing style can be heard on Ronnie's latest release "Everlasting". Steve & Michele have not only written songs for Ronnie Laws but for Michelle’s aunt, Eloise Laws, as well. In 2006, Miggedy has signed a deal with Unified Records to put out his first solo record.
