About Me
In a country far away, in Sweden, Scandinavia, where once the Vikings lived, it happened that a child was born, a child called Mikael. He grew up and had some friends, but he lived a fantasy life of his own… drawing pictures, making up stories and singing songs until he reached ecstasy. This all happened in the shades of the raw atmosphere of a small industrial town, so he felt all the more isolated and lonely after he finished school.He wanted to escape into his free fantasyland and started making home recordings. He created sounds out of different instruments, at first with simple tape recorders and, later, with a portable studio. With this he found a tool with which he could live out his hard rock frenzies, crooner romances, and dreamy psychedelic sounds and beyond. As many other teenagers he had rock dreams, to form his own band and tour around, and give his blood, sweat and soul to the music. Mikael wanted to sing songs about very old things and things of the future, things beyond time and space, and that of our own universe. The influence of the 60’s rock revolution was great, and music became his religion. Since then, there have been five albums released in his name, from 1989-1996. When not meddling with his individual music, he plays with a project called Just Beyond (also on myspace), and makes comic books (which need to be translated to English). They eventually will become purchasable from the oldesoul.com website under Medicinal Muses. UPDATE! Mind of Fire released 2007OCT20! Yes, it has finally become tangible... ST Mikael's musical visions of the last 11 years all wrapped up in a drippingly rich package! This album is available on CD as well as a limited print in heavy vinyl from the label Subliminal Sounds.
