CHRIS D'ERRICO (1970- ?) -
Chris is a singer/songwriter from Boston who plays harmonica,
drums, percussion and a little guitar. Well, it's a full-sized guitar, but
he
plays it only occasionally. He's done stints in several unsuccessful
bands
over the years and he's got the demo CD's (which work nicely as drink
coasters) to prove it. His musical influences are from all over the
place,
but he prefers old blues, jazz, funk, fusion & acid rock. Years ago, he
had
one harmonica lesson from blues harp great Jerry Portnoy, who tried to
explain to Chris about the value of tradition in blues music. Portnoy
said,
"You may come up with a original style of walkin', but that don't mean
it's
a good walk." Chris has been workin' on his walkin' ever since, falling
down
often.
RICK DAVISON - No D in the middle! -
Rick was born and raised in Galt, Ontario, Canada
where he learned to play guitar by jamming to
blues,rockabilly,punk,country,jazz & reggae
records...30 something years later he's still learning
and still jamming to those records. Rick's philosophy
is that, "There are two kinds of music....Good & Bad."
He came to Vegas 7 years ago to retire from music but Chuck England
found him stealing quarters from old ladies in the
casinos and gave him a gig!
CHUCK ENGLAND -
Was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA. Chuck learned to play bluegrass & country on an upright bass. He then picked up the electric bass in the high school jazz band. At the tender age of 17, Chuck was on the road playing clubs bars and any good basement parties that could be found in the south east, until he ended up in Daytona Beach Florida, where he stayed busy playing in blues and southern rock bands. 17 years later Chuck moved to Las Vegas, where with Brett Houchin the (slide guitar ace of the "Smoking Aces"), founded the "Bob Fisk Band". After a few gigs with the band, Chuck left to pursue other ventures. Soon he hooked up with drummer Ben Cooper. From the start, Ben and Chuck "clicked", and together created the bass and drum duo that kicks the "Sin City Aces" into gear ever night!
BEN COOPER - hails from Clearlake, Ca. Where he later moved to the San
Francisco Bay Area and finally Las Vegas. Ben has been playing drums
for 18 years and has dabbled in all types of music. Jazz, blues, rock,
latin, etc. Any type of music you mention and he probably likes it.
Together with Chuck, Ben plans to lay down the rhythm for Rick,
and Chris to jam on and make the crowd boogie all night.
