I am here for Friends

About Me

Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.
Also known as Liz, Lizzie, LizMo, SHH, So. Hill Hendersons, Hendel, The Inky Jedi, Ed and/or Fred, Miss Liz, Mom and Ima.
Hmmm... let's see if I can describe myself: wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, believer, teacher, carver, letterboxer, costumer, social coordinator, encourager, leader, cynic, know-it-all, skeptic, Star Wars geek, comedian, artist, photographer, dancer, sometimes singer, wisdom-giver, cheerleader, Zionist and Jedi.
I am usually friendly, happy, helpful, optimistic, passionate and fun-loving, but occassionally get sarcastic, moody and melancholy. Actually, melancholy most of the time; fortunately, it is pretty well hidden from public view. I am independent, loyal, honest and possess a strong sense of justice and duty. I could be accurately described as an 'all-or-nothing'. (Usually, the only thing that really makes me mad is injustice.)
I am average height, weight and build, however, have a million-dollar smile that is kinda contagious.
For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
I absolutely love, and am bound to, the land, people and language of Israel. And I say, "Am Israel Chai!"
And to Jerusalem, Your city,
return in mercy,
and dwell therein as You have spoken;
and rebuild it soon, in our days,
as an everlasting structure,
and the throne of David,
may You speedily establish therein.
Blessed are You, Adonai,
Builder of Jerusalem

My Interests

"I had no destination in mind, other than to follow where the Force led me."

Some of my interests include: ISRAEL, spending time with & homeschooling my younglings, photography, letterboxing, dancing, singing, friendships, religious theology, travel, STAR WARS

My Art
I carve rubber stamps. I like to create images from photographs that I have taken, or from things that catch my eye that I may find elsewhere. I use Staedler carving tools, PZKut carving material (available at www.stampeaz.com) and a magnifying lamp. I have been carving since July '04, and have carved literally hundreds of stamps. I have uploaded some of my favorite pieces into my Picture Album "My Art in Rubber". Most of my stamps are anywhere from one inch square to four inches square. Hope you enjoy!

Lightsaber Training 101: Introduction

I'd like to meet:

The G-d of the Universe, Obi-wan Kenobi & Qui-Gon Jinn, fellow Star Wars costumers & fans, those addicted to letterboxing...and whoever G-d deems it necessary for me to meet.

Music:

Lyrics from my 'theme' song (Love Me When I'm Gone, by 3 Doors Down):

Everything I am,
And everything in me,
Wants to be the one you wanted me to be.
I’ll never let you down,
Even if I could,
Give up everything,
If only for your good,

So hold me when I’m here,
Right me when I’m wrong,
Hold me when I’m scared,
You won’t always be there,
So love me when I’m gone.

The current soundtrack of my life:

Movies:

This is a great, short documentary, "Becoming Obi-Wan" - has some great shots of the costumes and Ewan McGregor, of course! Enjoy!

Great music video: "What Hurts the Most", featuring Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon.

Television:

Who needs TV?

Letterboxing is a hobby... but it is more than that. It is a chance to get out and experience someplace you have not been before. It is an exercise in following directions and your instincts. It is an opportunity to meet, make and keep friends. And it is an outlet for your own creative energies and to enjoy the efforts of others.Letterboxing is a hobby, yes, but what a sweet addiction it is.

Gee, do these guys remind you of anyone?

Books:

Scripture, STAR WARS

Throw a penny in the water...

When I was a kid, I loved to throw a penny in the fountain.  Any fountain would do, and I really never knew why folks did that.  All I knew was that you were to make a wish; not that the wis...

"RESPECT, find out what it means to me..."

I have been pondering the whole idea of respect the last couple of days.  What a vague thing it is, to have respect for someone and why...very subjective, I'd say.  I guess, in my sequential...

So, where do I start?

We are home. We are unpacked, the van is returned to the rental agency, and I am dutifully detoxing.  I am kind of in a state of disbelief that it is over. I was asked if I still had the 'travel ...
