BIO:
Inspired by Daniel Johnston's work, Ballads of Larry Drake set out to quickly record albums.
He began working on records Spring 2007.
The approach and intent was to have finished in a week’s time a record completed. Timeline was a few days to write songs, a day to record them, a day to mix, done. All songs were first takes. He just let it fly. Out of tune or not, it was about the feeling, the rush. It was quick pop songs for easy consumption. It was a “hit and run” approach to creating art.
