Mourning For Autumn

About Me

Mourning for Autumn started out playing traditional Goth-rock, but through the process of line-up and sonic refinement, they morphed into the band they are today: A hard hitting group with a style that touches on classic genres such as heavy metal, goth, folk, and indie yet remains powerful and fresh with a stamp of uniqueness, quality and power.

With songs that can make you smile, make you cry and make you dance, Mourning For Autumn's distinctive brand of goth infused rock will always leave a lasting impression on the listener.

Band Members: The Professor is the soulful and charismatic vocalist/ front-person whose easy, relaxed on stage persona resonates with audiences and radiates her enjoyment of the music. Her open and approachable manner and between song banter can make any venue seem intimate and every performance feel personal.

Lottie, the BC Rich wielding guitarist lets her sense of love for the band and its music shine through in every performance. Her acoustic interludes, crushing riffs and spiralling instrumental leads all combine to leave the audience stunned and wanting more.
Fayes pulsing, driving, dark, brooding bass-lines are the underpinnings of many of the songs. Though unassuming on stage, her ability to play expertly formed, never pretentious slices of bottom end perfection is obvious to anyone with ears.
Being a drummer often means being the target of ridicule, but Fairy takes it all in her stride and answers from behind the kit with clockwork accurate drumming, rolls, fills and an intuitiveness that allows her to adapt her playing to fit any style, her playing elevates her far above the position of simple time keeper.
Influences:
Siouxsie And The Banshees, Iron Maiden, New Model Army, Rev Hammer, Sisters Of Mercy, Blyth Power, Eastfield, All About Eve, Cauda Pavonis, Show of Hands, W.A.S.P, Megadeth, Manic Street Preachers (early stuff with Ritchie), Frontline Assembly, VNV Nation, The Way Of All Flesh, Rush, Mission UK, Fields Of The Nephilim, Kenickie, Girlschool, Human League, Inkubus Sukkubus, The Damned, Bangles, Duran Duran.

Sounds Like: Prophetic, poetic, light and shade.A charged, emotional core capable of evoking a connection with every part of the human psyche.
