I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My name is Stacey Miller. I was born, raised and somewhat inspired by the “Sooner State”, Oklahoma. I attended grade school through high school in the small town of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. I knew early on in school that I had an interest in creativity, color and anything art. Wanting to impose my understudied skills upon the planet I sought someone who I could learn from. In an incredible bout of luck I met Don Poole a Past-Master Ceramist/ Potter. During the early session of my sophomore year I started my apprenticeship with the artist Don Poole who with his family had established a very successful forty year career in clay. I worked and studied alongside Don for three years until my push to leave high school was complete.Shortly after I started work to complete a bachelors in fine art at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. While laboring towards my degree I attended several workshops at various studios such at, Los Milogros Print Studio, Untitled Arts and the Aryes Ranch where I had a chance to work with Indrani Gall student of Kieth Howard. I completed my bachelor degree studies in December of 2006, and currently I am working on a new series of work for my Master’s application. I am planning to start my Masters of Art within two to three years. As a professional artist I look to challenge the boundaries of contemporary art by provoking new thoughts in the minds of my viewers. I look to provide my audience with a wide spectrum of media. My first series revealed artworks which brought life to inanimate objects. I am driven to create new ways in which to express myself in art; an Artwork that has many established meanings yet maintains one true purpose. I will create art that relates my viewers lives to mine via the emotion and experiences expressed in my work. I mostly produce series work but occasionally I will work commissions for private patrons. I try to keep myself booked into as many events as possible working in juried, group and solo shows in and outside of the state. Please take time to check out my works on my page. This is not nearly all of my works showcased on this page, only a fraction. Some of the works are in collections and some are still for sale to interested patrons of my work. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people who have an interest in edgy, modern art, people who have an appreciation of old and new culture, people who have an open-mind, people who aren’t afraid to share an opinion, people who are tired of the normal and seek something different. I would like to meet other artists, art patrons, art galleries, jewelers, fashion designers, art models, make-up artists, poets, musicians, and writers. In general, I would just like to meet anyone who has a love for the arts and creativity.I do not want to meet psychos, megalomaniacs, stalkers or any other miscreant of society.
