What’s up, we’re REPEAT. We are a funk/rock/rap band from Århus, Denmark; we are inspired by bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots and Rage Against The Machine and a lot of other different bands that plays the same music genres that we do. We have a lot of passion for our music and we always put 110% into our performances at all times. REPEAT was formed in 2003, when we were about 9-10 years old and still had our two former members, Simon and The Prophet (aka Magnus).
When it comes to concerts and we perform on stage, we usually use a lot of energy to rock the place up and make the crowd see what we’re made of. Sometimes, we play shirtless, but most of the time, we do it when we are about to play the final song or an encore. However, we only do this when if there is a really hyped up song.
As most of you know, our former two members Simon and The Prophet (aka Magnus) left REPEAT in 2008 after being apart of the band for 5 years. This had to do with both them beginning boarding school. Some people probably thought that was going to be the end of REPEAT.
Fortunately, that wasn’t the case at all. 2 months after Simon and The Prophet left REPAT, there were two new members that replaced them, and their names were Michael Fynne and Mathias Hald.
Mathias Hald (replacing The Prophet) currently plays the bass. Before Mathias joined REPEAT, he played the bass in a jazz band. He is a very talented musician and REPEAT is proud having him as member of the band.
Michael Fynne (replacing Simon) is currently the rapper. RAPPER NOT SINGER! Before Michael joined REPEAT, he lived in Birmingham, England ever since he was 5 years old. He then he moved back to Denmark after living in the UK for 8 years. He was offered to join REPEAT a year later, and he accepted the offer. There is not really much more to say, other than music means a lot to us. We make music because we love it and have a lot of passion for it just like I said before. We really don’t care about earning money. We just care about our music and earning respect from other people, because that is what makes REPEAT a good and successful band. We hope to see you jumping and screaming in front of the stage sometime.Take care and peace out.
