About Me
Music is my main dream and desire, I've been in different bands for 10 years including: back-up singer in a gay disco band, keyboardist and accessory guitarist in a Montreal-based "Cure" coverband, then I've pursued a lifelong dream in studying the harp at Regina Assumpta and Vincent-d'Indy and have my college diploma, but got tired of classical thinking after entering the Conservatory of Music, and left... Afterwards, I finally found a way to merge together rock and harp as I became harpist for a progressive Montreal band called Louksai. I really wish to have the opportunity to be a harpist in a band again, preferably hard rock, glam rock or progressive, but I had to leave Louksai due to, err, creative differences... And moving to BC.
For the last 2 years I was in a general coverband called Powervox (http://www.powervox.ca), they are still together and gigging the greater Vancouver region. An amazing band with fine players, it was one of the best musical experiences of my life.
I am also pleased to have realized my dream of many, many years by being the bass player of Girls N Roses, a Vancouver-based all-girl GNR coverband. www.girlsnroses.com http://www.myspace.com/girlsnrosesband
I also used to be the bass player of a metal act called Lethal Halo. They are getting quite good, and you should definitely check them out on MySpace if you like melodic metal!
And, finally, I am dreaming to start a band that would combine the energy of Van Halen, the harmonies of Boston and the structure of Rush/Saga/Styx... as a harpist or multi-instrumentist preferably, or as a bass player.
I'm also trying to be a painter. I'm kind of average but it has never been a natural talent of mine, so it's hard work. I'm uploading stuff on this MySpace page for people to see. So far I have a painting of a Hippo made for Hipposonic Studios in Vancouver, I'm happy about that! I dream of painting guitars, and I'm a beginner on the airbrush. So far, not so good... but one day I expect to be average :)
And finally, I really love languages, I speak French and English, and am conversational in German and Spanish. I keep trying to learn Mandarin and hope that my brain will understand it one day...
