About Me

I love bagpipe music, McDonald's french fries, fountain diet coke with extra ice, margaritas without salt, and ice cold beer. The smell of the ocean is one of the best in the world. Children are amazing, being pregnant is not. I learned to fold laundry while watching Gone With the Wind on late night television (the commercials were for folding).I'm pretty serious and stubborn. I'm more than a little opinionated and I'm not afraid to share those opinions. You probably can't change my mind, but I would love to hear your thoughts anyway! Watching my kids makes me laugh more than anything ever has!I'm an archaeologist - I'm living my dream! I first decided to become an archaeologist when I was 13 and in 8th grade...it's fantastic to get to do what I've always wanted! I love what I do, but even so...I work to live, I don't live to work. I live for my family - they are amazing! I have a spectacular husband and the most adorable twin boys on the planet (maybe even in the universe!).

My Interests

Long discussions; reading; anything Celtic (especially the music); Star Trek; vampires (oh, I love vampires!), pondering imponderabilities; watching my kids learn something new every minute; learning something new everyday; traveling; learning to be a better cook...

I'd like to meet:

People who are funny, intelligent, and real... Don't bother me if you're ignorant, a pervert, or trying to sell yourself or a product.
Myspace Layouts

Music:

All types...except heavy metal. Something about all that screeching that just does not appeal to me!!

Movies:

Star Trek II, Legally Blonde, Chocolat, Cutting Edge (toe pick!), Rocky Horror Picture Show, Gone With The Wind (great memories associated with this one!!), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Television:

Some carefully chosen shows...my current favorite is Moonlight. I love a good looking, brooding vampire. I am still completely disappointed in NBC for ending Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip...goes to show that America cannot appreciate a show with talent, humor, and smarts!

Books:

Jean Auel's 'Earth's Children' series (don't scoff until you ask me why), The Eight, the DaVinci Code, Chronicles of Narnia. What I tend to read the most these days are books like "Dora Goes for a Ride" and "Bob the Builder Builds a House." "Big Book of Animals" is getting alot of play too! I keep buying adult books though with the hopes that one day, I will be able to open one once again!

Heroes:

My husband and my kids
