Its just a fansite for him.Edward John Speleers(nickname Ed) was born at St. Richards Hospital on December 21, 1987 in Chichester(West Sussex), England to John Speleers (Ed’s father), who is a financial consultant. His parents are divorced and his mother now lives in Spain. Ed is an only child who has enjoyed participating in school plays since the age of three. He had interest in acting while growing up and appeared in his first stage production of "Peter Pan" at the Dorset House School (near Arundel) when he was only seven years old. He has appeared in several school plays throughout his school career. Ed had the major roles in several of his school plays. Among these were 'The Crucible', 'Street Car Named Desire', 'Richard the 3rd', and 'Hamlet'. His first role on camera was in a short film called 'Metropolis' where Ed played Wankaholic, directed by Charlie Bleakey. He attended at Eastbourne College (a private boarding school located in East Sussex). He left school June 2006, before completing his A-Levels, to undertake the lead role in Eragon (2006). At the age of eighteen years old, without any professional experience, Ed made his major motion picture movie debut in the starring role of the dragon rider Eragon in the fantasy movie, which was based on the popular novel by Christpher Paolini. The whole movie project was almost scrapped because they were unable to find right Eragon, until Ed came along. Beating out 180,000 other applicants to win the title role of Eragon. When his father called him that he received the role, then Ed ran around the halls screaming to everyone that he got the part. Ed later said he was glad that he did not learn about this (beating out 180,000 other applicants) until after he finished filming, or else it would have placed a lot of pressure on him. He was also suggested for the role of Peter Pevensie in the Narnia series, but in the end William Moseley got the part. Ed was given the chance to play young Hannibal Lector in the movie Behind the Mask, but French actor, Gaspard Ulliel, later took the role. Some other facts about Ed are that he is 19 years old, and has blue/grayish eyes. He is also an accomplished football, and rugby player. He knows how to play the saxophone. Some of Ed’s favorites: Actor is James Dean, band is The Rolling Stones, game is table football (foosball), film is True Romance, director is Martin Scorsese, and food is his mother’s Spaghetti Bolognaise. Sorry all you ladies out there, but Ed has a girlfriend named Amy who attended the premiere of Eragon in England with him.
Ed is now playing in a new television series called Echo Beach (2008), which he plays Jimmy Penwarden.
Jimmy is considered the "stud" of the show. He is the son of Mark Penwarden (Hugo Speer) and Susan Penwarden (Martine McCutcheon). He likes his rides fast. Jimmy finds instant attraction with the new girl Abi Marrack (Hannah Lederer-Alton), but promises his lovestruck best friend Charlie Morgan (Jonathan Readwin) that he won't try it on with her.
