Mikael Roupé was born in 1964 in Stockholm, Sweden.
After a vast number of different schools all over the world (due to his father being an airline pilot) he decided to become a singer and moved to Copenhagen in 1983 - and since then he has against all odds somehow made a career for himself as a singer, voice-over guy, translator, producer, director, and now he owns and runs Scandvoice Studios in Stockholm.
Mikael is also a proud member of Bamboo Brothers - a rockband consisting of 5 grumpy old men who would rather eat good food than rehearse, thus they have only played one concert in the last 10 years.
Through the years Mikael has played and recorded with a vast number of more or less talented individuals, ranging from the unmentionables to some who were actually pretty good. Some of them he even had sex with.
In 1988 people in Sweden suddenly decided that subtitles were a thing of evil, and Mikael was hired by Sun Studios in Copenhagen to transform american animated movies into Swedish.

Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig, Sylvester The Cat, Pepe le Pew, Foghorn Leghorn, Barney Rubble (The Flintstones), Edd (Ed, Edd & Eddie), Chicken (Cow & Chicken), Mojo Jojo (Powerpuff Girls), Argus Filch (Harry Potter), Kingsley Shacklebolt (Harry Potter)He is also the approved Swedish singing voice for Mr. Randy Newman.Apart from this he does voice-overs for commercials and has so far lent his voice to more than 5.000 ads, endorsing anything from major brands such as Coca-Cola, Ikea and Mercedes Benz to Pedigree Dogfood and diapers for incontinent adults.He is happily divorced and the proud father of three wonderful children.
