I wanted to dedicate this page to my favorite uncle, "Uncle Bob". My uncles passing is probably the hardest thing I have ever experienced, and I have been through some pretty hard times but this is the worst. My family has already been through so much already. We have experienced so many tragedies. But,this has got to be the most tragic of them all. I am not ready to except the fact yet that he is gone physically forever. I will NEVER hear his laugh nor his smile except in my thoughts and my dreams and old home videos. I pray we can all have dreams of Uncle Bob, I know he will visit us through them. He meant so much to me. I have always said that I am my Uncle Bob in a women's body. We were so much alike in many ways. I have so many special memories of him and I know that all of you that are reading this have your own special "moments" with him as well but why I feel so special is because not only was he my "favorite" uncle, I was his "favorite" niece. I have many great memories growing up with the family. They made me who I am today. From my love for soul music, jazz, family, respect, and everything else that makes up a rich and wealthy life, I gained that all from my family and Uncle Bob was the heart and soul. Me and cousin Travis got to experience being the first generation of kids to be brought up around my uncles and aunties when they were in high school and discovering life as a young adult. I remember being like 4 or 5 and they took me to Independence High school and at lunch, I remember seeing Uncle Bob sitting on a bench and singing and playing a guitar to a bunch of crushing smiling girls. I remember they were all in love and gazing at him while he sang. Too bad they didn't know he wasn't interested!HA!sorry Unc! Even the music of the 70's and 80's time era reminds me him and the rest of the fam. I would stay at grandma and grandpas house and watch the uncles and aunties pull out the Earth Wind and Fire, Kool & the Gang, Marvin Gaye, and many other classic records and watch them do soul train lines or learn the latest dances. My uncle was such a big ham! He was always the life of the party. His sense of humor was contagious. He would ALWAYS make you laugh, secretly he would put his hand next to his mouth and whisper a comment about the stranger next to you if they dressed funny or had a bad hair cut, he would always s-p-e-l-l out his words, his favorite to me was when he would say you are so T-I-R-E-D TIRED! My uncle brought me to my first club when I was only 14 years old and it was a gay club!lol! He snuck me in to Club St. John's. Uncle Bob gave me my first job at La Pastaia. He hired me as a hostess and he was the coolest boss but he also meant business. He taught my ghetto ass etiquette and how to be professional, to look into peoples eyes with a smile and most of all, he taught me how to serve. There are so many great stories. Some I would like to share and some for me to keep within my heart forever. Uncle Bob... I am going to miss you so much. My heart is so broken. So broken. I'm sure you have seen me from heaven on my hands and knees crying from above. Life just seems so boring without you here with us! What is Christmas, Thanksgiving, all the birthdays and holidays going to be like without you THIS F****** SUCKS!!!!!!!I wanted to do life with you! You are supposed to be at the premiere of my first movie eating popcorn with me and celebrating! This isn't fair but I have to accept this, we all have to accept your passing. I guess this is what we call "life". At least, we can learn from him and the way he lived his life and strive to live a life that affected so many people as he did for the better. Uncle Bob loved and accepted everyone no matter who they were. He served us and always made sure we were happy and taken care of. UNCLE BOB YOU WILL N-E-V-E-R NEVER be duplicated. I am honored to be part of your family. You were a living angel on this earth living a life to leave a message. Earth Wind and Fire said it best, "It's all about LOVE". You were so loved by many. I love you, Your favorite niece, TianskaPlease leave any message or "Rob" experience you may have had with my uncle. Peace T
