Danilo Cherni and Gianfranco Salvatore have both a twenty-year experience in every field and genre of music. Baba Yoga is their latest project and debutted live in late 2005. Their music links together extensive use of electronics with a taste for melodies, rhythms, sounds and moods from Mediterranean, Middle and Far East.Baba Yoga's sets include very complex compositions as well as totally improvised sessions and feature many musical instruments (electronics and acoustic, electric and sampled) and visuals (VJ-sets, dance performances, action painting).Baba Yoga have released four albums for GasTone Records: Minimantra is a studio album, "Sabir" is a live performance "as recorded" without any further overdubs, "The Tiger, The Parrot and the Holy Frog" and a live album "Stop that Jazz".Baba Yoga have a double soul and like to play in different venues from art galleries to lounge club and discos. The second incarnation of BY is as a fivesome band in theatres or festivals.
