Free lance graphic designer, illustrator in advertising, photographer and painter. Astegiano has traded as a professional tattooist from 1994 to 1999, got invited by Marco Leoni at the International tattoo and body art convention. Co-founder and lead singer of rock band Marlene Kuntz (1988-1990).From 1996 to 2001 he has been working as a mountain first-aider, where a photographic research was being led on the wind's effect over the snow: "Pure Wind" (issued on various magazines + limited edition monography ). In 1995 he has began a study on Indian and Buddhist 's culture & religion, a task he has carried out till the 1998 Maha-kumbh-Mela ( past millennium's last Hindu jubilee), following the pilgrimage from the valley of Uttar Pradesh up to Gaumuch and from Tapovan (4,500 m, Himalayas) down to the Ganges' sources, then slightly higher to Shivling base camp at the indo-tibetan borders. He currently collaborates with Slow Food, MUST, Immagini Foto-Pratica, Rumore, XL Repubblica, La rivista della montagna, Traffic Torino Free Festival, Nuvolari Libera Tribù, Marlene Kuntz e Subsonica. He has worked with film directors like Guido Chiesa, Enrico Verra and Daniele Segre. Many painting and photo exhibitions have show-cased his work as an artist : Rome 2006 Circolo degli Artisti (during the international festival of photography), at Capalbio Art, SENZA POSA, Il Rock a Scatti at the SUONERIA (Settimo TO), idem SALUZZO (CN). He also holds a photojournalistic coverage called Desco Music on Slow Food together with Alberto Campo, about food and national or international musicians. He has photographed portrays of Robert Wyatt, Marlene Kuntz, Patti Smith, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Nico, Vinicio Capossela, Roy Paci, Manuel Agnelli, Shane Mc Gowan, PGR, Kings of Convenience, Perturbazione, Julian Cope, Max Gazzè, Subsonica, Antony & the Johnsons, New Order, Asia Argento, Violante Placido, Carmen Consoli, Cocorosie, Aphex Twin, Franz Ferdinand, Manu Chao, Africa Unite, Vivienne Westwood, Enrico Rava, Stefano Bollani, Ezio Bosso, Piero Pelù, Joan as a Police Woman, Rufus Wainwright, Willy De Ville, LCD SoundSystem and many others.Free lance, grafico pubblicitario, fotografa e dipinge. E’ stato tatuatore dal 1994 al 1999, invitato da Marco Leoni alla Convention Internazionale dell’Arte del Tatuaggio. Cofondatore e cantante del gruppo rock Marlene Kuntz (1988-1990) Dal 1996 al 2001 opera come Soccorritore specializzato Alpino, dove avvia una ricerca fotografica sull’azione del vento sulla neve: “Pure Wind” (pubblicata su varie riviste e una monografia a tiratura limitata). Nel 1995 comincia a documentare sul campo la cultura e la religione indiana e buddista, opera che continua fino al Maha-kumbh-Meela del 1998 (l’ultimo giubileo induista del millennio passato), quando segue il pellegrinaggio dalle pianure dell’Uttar Pradesh fino a Gaumuch e da Tapovan (4.500 mt, Himalaya) alle sorgenti del Gange, e poco più su al campo base dello Shivling sul confine Indo-Tibetano. Collabora con: Slow Food, MUST, Immagini Foto-Pratica, Rumore, La rivista della montagna, Traffic Torino Free Festival, Nuvolari Libera Tribù, Marlene Kuntz e Subsonica. Ha lavorato con i registi: Guido Chiesa, Enrico Verra e Daniele Segre. All’attivo varie mostre di pittura e fotografiche, le ultime del 2006 a Roma al Circolo degli Artisti (per il festival Internazionale della Fotografia) a Capalbio Art, SENZA POSA – Il Rock a Scatti alla SUONERIA (Settimo TO), idem SALUZZO (CN). Tiene una rubrica fotogiornalistica chiamata Desco Music sulla rivista mensile SLOW FOOD, con Alberto Campo, rapportando cibo e musica con musicisti nazionali e internazionali.
