Baby and Butter

About Me

It's been almost a year since Linus left and eight months that Butter's been here. Since he arrived, Butter has learned to like going outside, especially because of the gophers. He shows the proper respect around me, knows all the proper submissive cat poses. He displays no cynicism. I ignore him unless he seems like he is staring at me with that one eye. It's hard to tell but I do some tough-cat moves anyway. Butter likes to follow John around, just like a dog. But it's my tummy that John rubs. He (Butter not John) likes to play with hair elastics and then put them in a kibble dish when he is done. He recently found a section of bungee cord somewhere, brought it inside and draped it over a dish of wet food. Neither I nor the primates can figure this out. The primates say he is the smartest cat they have ever known, but enough about him. The primates say I am the most handsome. They are right, I'm a Maine Coon type cat, furry and mellow. I do not remember my birth family but my primates tell me that as a large kitten, I wandered into their yard, jumped into dad's lap, curled up and began nursing on my tummy fur. My territory has trees, gardens, squirrels, birds (including owls) and, across the street, a stream where I like to hang out. The weeds there have stickers which get stuck in my fur. I come indoors to clean off.

My Interests
