Influences: Born in 59, I did my 'growing up'in the 70ies- the first 'pop' music I ever listened to on the radio at age 11 was Janis Joplin singing Bobby Mc Gee' and I didn't understand a word but loved it! Besides that oh, gee... just to give a basic idea:Doobie Brothers, Supertramp, Dixie Chicks, Shelly King, Carolyn Wonderland, Lucinda Williams, Melissa Etheridge, James McMurtry, CCR, Cat Stevens, Elton John (Yes, Elton John!check out the album' Songs from the Westcoast'!), Fabulous T-Birds, Simon&Garfunkle and lot of country artists...oh and yes, almost forgot, from the days when I managed a mexican restaurant Trio Los Panchos, Los Paraguayos, Los Lobos, Flaco Jimenez (oh YES! met him a couple of times and had the great privilege of having him explain to me the origins of Polka in Texas ) and I LOVE salsa and merengue as well:), but also Jose Feliciano, Earth , Wind &Fire, my great friends of ARTERY! I also love brazilian Bossa Nova! and I should also mention Mozart, Bach, Chopin, Schumann, Schubert, Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more...
