The whole UK Underground Radio Concept was born in the early 2007 by Jason B. With a circle of friends (mainly Drum n Bass DJ's & Producers) it came to his attention that other than the odd DJ booking there was a vast amount of talent that was not getting rightly noticed. With those facts in mind Jason B hatched a plan to create a medium for this talent to be showcased and heard by people world wide who share the same love for Drum n Bass music............UK Underground Radio was now in motion.
In Late 2007 www.uk-underground-radio.co.uk was up and running, with help from Cee (Friend/DJ) they began to mould and shape the station into a community based on Drum n Bass music, With the 'Interception DNB' movement on board also, things have gathered pace over a short period of time, 6 months in and with plenty of ideas and tweaking still to do, the station has a solid base to move forward off.
UK underground is a non-profit Internet streaming radio station aiming to open up a new world to aspiring DJ's and Producers who follow and contribute to the global Drum n Bass scene.
With a variety of features the station offers DJ's can really push there skills and deliver there vibe to our listeners and get there name out into the Drum n Bass public, whether it be hosting a radio show, submitting a DJ Mix for our server or joining our monthly Podcast feature, It's there for the taking, and if that still leaves you sitting on the fence the cream of the crop is being part of the friendly, up for it UK Underground family and having the opportunity to get involved with events that the station runs on a regular basis in the midlands area.
Our resident line-up includes top midlands Drum n Bass DJ's AK, Tommy Lee, Jason B, Cee, EL.Man, Kase & KC Blaze to name a few!
