Hello and thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy the music you hear. Most of it means a heck of a lot to me. I won't lie and say that every song I write is on the same level. Some I write because they are just fun, and some are divinely inspired and emotionally driven. Nevertheless, all of them give you a little part of me. I respect people that have an edge; the edge I'm referring to is having a 9 to 5, but on the side, you're going to school, you're an aspiring designer, you're trying to get your script turned into a movie, or you're just trying to make your life right and do right by others. That's what it do.Jahchild is a singer/songwriter/actor/ dancer of Los Angeles California. He grew up in Inglewood, California in an African-American/Panamanian household. He used these influences to learn to speak, read and write not only in English and Spanish, but Portuguese, French, Italian, and Russian as well.As a young entertainer enthusiast, Jahchild traveled to Israel to sing with the International Choir. Later, he enhanced his experiences in music by touring with Toni Braxton, Keith Washington, MInt Condition, Chante Moore, Shanice Wilson, Yolanda Adams, Edwin Hawkins, Dottie Peoples, and many others. He has also recorded albums for Kelis and many international artists. As an actor, Jahchild has appeared in many musicals, and films, including the feature American Carol, directed by David Zuckerman, and most recently, Angels and Demons, the Prequel to the DaVinci Code, directed by Ron Howard and produced by Brian Grazer, starring Tom Hanks. Jahchild was nominated for NAACP Best Musical Director award. Jahchild has also had his share of commercials.Jahchild has always had a great desire for culture and people. He has covered 4 continents and continues to strive for education. He has a Bachelor's in Political Science International Relations, a Master's in Education and an Administrative Credential. He enjoys working with children. He also is the proud father of two daughters, Marile and Natalia.He is the founder of the band JAHCHILD and can be seen performing locally at many venues. He is the Minister of Music at St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church. He is dedicated to the efforts of raising money and awareness having performed for the release of Nelson Mandela and Reception of Bishop Desmond Tutu, sung for Habitat for Humanity Global Village Ethiopia, and the Black-Aids Institute.
