The Landscape of Souls have been founded in 2001 year in Zabrze (Silesia, PL) by Marek (keyboards) and Gaczy (guitars). From that moment, in home's silence, during drinking tea, after sleepless nights and long conversations about life, music and women - were born first sounds in doom/gothic metal's climate. Whole music is created by that two guys until today. In the same year, Lechu - guitarist and Tomek - vocalist join them. Throughout this year next pieces come into being but everything starts to be changed in time. Moment of breath and we have started a searching for appropriate people (musicians) to become a real band. Barely in May 2003, Cliff (bass) and his brother --wieca (drums) joined band (totally zappy chaps). Intensive rehearsals were started then Janosik (vocals) joins us and becomes the vocalist of band, and later he becomes first manager and organizer of many concerts. In March 2004, the band is preparing their first 'demo' titled 'Strange Dream' recorded at MaQ Studio with full commitment of their realizer - Jarek Toifl from Nightlygale.
First concerts was given at nearest clubs, but Zabrze doesn't possess many such places. With time they went out of city. The group obtained several prizes during some of festivals, among others in 4 May 2004 in Chorzow (Rampol Review) - LOS got audience prize. In 2004 due to serious injury, band has been left by Swieca, then we were supported by Mariusz from friendly group - PI. The change happened somewhere else - on the bass position. Rafal Skrzypiec replaced Cliff. Later Mandorf (drums) supported group. The gigs was set, band sort out everything: trips, dates, venues and... Gaczy breaks his hand. Nevertheless we couldn't cancel sorted concerts and Kamil 'Krieg' (guitars) from Inside Out brought us his help. He played amazing gigs with rest of band and stayed as second guitarist at all. He gave us new, fresh tone. In December 2005 LOS enters to same studio and gonna register new material for full-length album. Unfortunately this plan wasn't cracked on, quite big personal changes don't allow us to concentrate on most important things. Mandorf has been called by world and the man has gone to England (He's still living there). Thus Marcel sat behind drums kit. Marcel, the man who loves drums and who's loved by them.
Landscape of Souls plays with bands such as: Artrosis, Closterkeller, Delight, KAT, Gloom, Hunter, Batalion d'Amour, Lilith, Frontside. The band starts giving concerts abroad (Slovakia), goes across countries by everything what is moving: own cars, rented buses, even more interestingly, after that exciting trips, everybody tired, sweaty and hungry backs home, get some sleep to wake up and prepare for regular work. But why not! We need to play and that's all. Work, family, trial, gig, party, work, family, trial, gig, party that's sequence more or less. Superb! That's it!
In November 2006 the band gave concert in Kysucke Nove Mesto, SV. It was the last gig with Janosik and Rafal. After very quick period of searching, Filip (vocal) and Adi (bass) join band. Two concerts at Wiatrak in Zabrze with bands Artrosis and Hunter were last concerts played in that line-up. At the moment Landscape of Souls in new lineup gets ready to register new album, that one will be continuation of first publication 'Strange Dream'. Most important is fact to, so that man learns, loves and creates music among good and honest people who know that life is not easy and it's carrying many surprises. And that's a reason why they can create specific, nice, twisted and what is most important - magic history. Great thanks for all these people for special moments spent together on gigs, trials and parties, and thanks for them, that they renounced piece of their souls.
