Gaeta was an illustrator , sculptor , oil painter rather than a comic artist , and his work can be seen in many areas of the publishing media .Giovanni G. Gaeta was born in Frascati ( ROME ) in 1934 , where he attended school of art and the Favalli Studios learning his art. In 1958 he moved to Milan .From the early 60s Giovanni G. Gaeta worked for the DURBANS' art department , where he painted illustrations for the brand .From the late 60s till 1988 he worked for the most popular publishers , names like : INTREPIDO and MONELLO ( comics ); GRANDHOTEL magazine (Universo) CONFIDENZE magazine (Mondadori) , FAMIGLIA CRISTIANA mag. (ED.Paoline) and many others , for which he painted illustrations taken from novels , except for Famiglia Cristiana which is based on real facts . His covers and illustrations have graced books and magazines pulished not only in Italy but also in the UK and USA . He also painted illustrations for CORRIERE DELLA SERA and LA NOTTE , based on real facts (an example was : princess Anna of UK falling off of her horse ) .From the 60s , till the end of his life Giovanni G. Gaeta felt more confortable painting in oils . Some of his paintings have been sold in various artwork exhibitions in Italy and in the USA .
