It's hard to wake up one morning and realize that you haven't been enjoying life. So, I'm fixing that currently. I may have too many jobs, too much work. But I love to pull the day apart for just a little while to sit and play with Jake, watch the birds and be grateful that this piece of landscape is mine.
I ended up here as I outgrew my old garden and needed new practice grounds. This house, I took on as a project and the house, garden, Jake and I are 'growing' little by little. Every year, I beat back the brush (and the wildlife) and I seem to be winning the war. Maybe not winning but I surely can outlast the little buggers. Makes for an interesting village: me, Jake, chickens, and then the outlaws: coyotes, rabbits, squirrels, eagles, hawks, rodents and snakes. Who knew it would be so busy in the Country!
Passions are not easy to come by nor easy to maintain. However, mine are words, music & the garden. Words, as I love the sound, the feel of them. Music is personal and comes personnally from the man pictured below. My garden is my lab for 'cooking' up creative expression. If not there, in my minature kitchen. I WILL get a real kitchen one of these days. My affirmation is: there will always be enough.
