Brella was formed in early 2007 in the midwest town of Seymour, Indiana. Sam (Vocals/Guitar), Phil (Drums/Vocals) and Brad (Bass) have been friends for many years and have played music constantly throughout their lives but it was not until the formation of Brella that each found their own musical identity. This was cemented with the release of the band's first EP, "Wake Up, Wake Up." Such a title was chosen for the album because it represented the awakening of a new journey for not only the members of the band, but for anyone who listened to the EP's 9 tracks. Although 2 of the 3 members were (and still are) enrolled college students, Brella played shows all over the midwest and brought their sound to as many ears as they could.
For the band, 2009 marks a new beginning in some ways and also serves as a continuation in other ways. With the May 2009 release of Brella's newest effort, "It's A Melody EP" Brella has come out with a more defined and distinct sound. With it's blend of pop and power, "It's A Melody" is certain to leave listeners both impressed and entranced with the band's musical growth and ability to keep you wanting more.

A: We are always scheduling new shows and adding them to our page. We are, however, in college right now so that sometimes makes traveling to shows difficult. But we will be playing a lot of shows this summer so always be checking back to find out when we're coming near you!
