About Me

Hailing from the south suburbs of Chicago and forming in May of 2007, Polymnia Nyx(pronounced Pull-em-nia) brings a refreshingly original breath of air into the music scene of the midwest. Combining electronic music with live instruments to create a musical endeavor unlike anything you've ever heard before. Don't be fooled though, this isn't techno or house music. Polymnia Nyx is sure to bring their punk-funk groovin' dance party wherever they go. P-Nyx (as their fans have come to call them) challenges the stale local music scene to enjoy something new. Only being together a short time, Polymnia Nyx has created quite a buzz in the local music scene. Influences: As far as musical influences: !!!, Daft Punk, LCD Sound System, Holy Fuck, James Brown, Rick James, RadioHead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Refused, Gogol Bordello, honest, passionate musicians. Other influences include robots, STAR WARS!, good friends, good times, popped-collar stroke dudes, chameleons, dance parties, and sexiness.
Sounds Like: An electronic dance party fused with live instruments that will make you tap your toes and shake yo ass.This is our collaborative project with the horn section from the risk. Its called Polymnia Risk.
