Col. Bruce- -guitar and vocals
Col. Bruce Hampton, ret. has been making music since he formed his first band in 1963. Col. Bruce has been in constant motion ever since with his bands The Hampton Grease Band, The Late Bronze Age, and The Aquarium Rescue Unit. Along the way he starred in the cult classic movie "Outside Out" and appeared in "Sling Blade." Col. Bruce appears several times each year as vocalist and guitarist for Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit and continues his quest for the tonal center at each exit 6.
Perry Osborn - guitar and vocals
Arkansas native Perry Osborn has played with Col. Bruce on many occasions. He has also played with Gary Gazaway in the El Bujo Band, Jeff Sipe, Mike Gordon, Oteil Burbridge, and has toured with Grant Green, Jr. Perry was the assistant conductor in Wellington, New Zealand. He recently moved back to the U.S. and holds a faculty position at Florida State University and the Florida State Penal System.
Kris Dale – bass and vocals
By the time Kris graduated from the University of Miami's School of Music he was playing piano, trombone, and bass. A native Atlantan with a degree in studio music and jazz performance, Kris has played in many touring bands including Tongo-hiti, The Lost Continentals, Kingsized, and The Johnny Knox Trio. Along the way he picked up pedal steel guitar and recorded on the theme song for Adult Swim's "Squidbillies" as well as most of the instrumental sections for The Lord of The Rings triology.
Mark Letalien - drums
Originally from New Hampshire, Mark Letalien has taught, toured, and done studio work for twenty years. He's has worked with many Atlanta jazz and funk bands and also studied and played with some of drumming's finest, including Bernard Purdie. Mark formed Steel Pulse while living in Kingston, Jamaica in the late 70's. He has a degree in education and when he can, performs drum educational clinics at local schools.
