CMAW, an acronym that stands for Creative Music at Work, is the brainchild of Urban Gospel artist Kevin Gray. In 2005 CMAW was birthed and began production on Kevin..s first LP entitled ..So Fresh... With the success of the project and an already established reputation, this garnered much interest in the production and writing aspect of Kevin. Producing 9 of the 18 tracks and writing and arranging all of the songs, this transition was smooth and very natural for the urban artist.In 2006 Kevin enlisted the help of his longtime friend, producer Billy E, who produced two tracks on the ..So Fresh.. Project. (Why & I can..t wait)
The chemistry & vibe between Billy & Kevin was instinctive, and it was quite evident that this would turn into a longtime collaborative relationship.In 2007 the partnership became official and CMAW Music & Productions began to revamp their structure to become a leading force in the industry. Their motto, ..from concept to completion.. explains the overtone of the company and gives a retrospect of how CMAW conducts business. Innovative, groundbreaking and trendsetting are all words that Billy & Kevin use to fuel their desire to generate creative and extraordinary vintage music.
