An avid music collector, Christopher Lee's passion for music stems back to his early childhood. Lee has been a musician for nearly half of his life; in fact, he first held a guitar at the age of eleven, initially inspired by the likes of Edward Van Halen's "Eruption." Since then, his musical tastes have evolved and developed to include a wide array of styles from around the world. Some of his favorite musical genres include, among others, classical, neo-classical, symphonic metal, progressive rock and metal, hard rock, European power metal, blues, celtic, and bluegrass.
Presented with his first electric guitar on Christmas Eve of 1995, Christopher Lee is a self-taught musician. Always seeking new challenges and eager to learn, motivation for learning new techniques and music has never been in short supply. To this day Lee continues to discover and utilize new methods to improve his technique and compositional skills.
Never afraid to experiment, Lee has been making recordings since 1996, originally with the aid of a simple four-track analog recorder. Since those initial recordings, Christopher Lee has expanded his recording studio, recorded new material, and produced and guested on numerous recordings for local artists. In 1998, Lee founded the project band Electric Shock, with which he has made several yet-unreleased recordings. Though Electric Shock is currently on an indefinite hiatus, Christopher Lee has kept busy with many other musical endeavors.
From 2001-2006, Christopher Lee attended Youngstown State University in northeast Ohio, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He relocated to the Cleveland, Ohio area immediately following his college graduation, and he is currently employed as an electrical engineer for Tec, Inc. Engineering & Design in Eastlake, Ohio.
Christopher Lee is currently a member of the Ohio-based band Remember Scarlet, and has in the meantime begun recording sessions for two new full-length solo CDs. As the founder and owner of 9474 Mobile Recording Studios , Lee is also currently involved with producing and recording several projects for other artists.
