Do you think music has rules? If so, the boys in The Taylor Project might be in a little trouble very soon ... Many are under the belief that music is a gift, and the boys of TTP are no exception. In fact, this is the exact reason the foursome came together in the fall of 2007 and multitudes of thankful fans have been enjoying their sound ever since. These musicians have made it their top priority to deliver what Music, Herself, has to offer - with a little bit of their own unique style thrown in. Writing music that spans from jazz and funk influences to heavier rock undertones, it's easy to see that TTP won't have any problems navigating the quickly changing styles of the music scene. More than loving music, they understand it ... resulting in an intense relationship with the music they write that many of their fans have come to recognize and fall in-love with. Anyone who hasn't seen a live show won't understand what this means until they see it - it's quite a thing to witness.
Numerous venues and faithful fans throughout Colorado Springs and Denver have made The Taylor Project feel welcome and accepted in the Colorado area and they are quick to show their gratitude. With over 145 shows under their belt in as little as 13 months, the guys are ready to walk through national and international doors that have been graciously opened for them. Although the horizon is expanding for The Taylor Project, be assured that these boys will never forget where they came from. With this said, watching each musician play - with Matthew's quick fingers mastering his tunes on the piano, Desmond (texting while) jammin' on the drums in a way that never ceases to amaze the audience, Sean always keeping it funky with his deft skills on the bass guitar, and Chris hamming out the blues like a pro - it's hard not to forget that they started in this big small-town city, but easy to see that this is much more than just another spring's band. Stay tuned for their debut album! A coup may be needed.
