Heart of the City Music is a Philadelphia based organization of Recording Artist, Producers, Song Writers, Poets and Performers founded by Marlin Newsome. HOT City proudly boast the moniker “For the Love of Musicâ€. Started in 2006 with the producer-rapper duo Hard Tymez Coalition, the team soon grew to include King^s Pen, Camille and several other affiliated artist. During the next two years Heart of the City would put out two major projects; The Preliminary Part.1 and Honestly the Truth - StoryBoards. With a growing buzz the team has been featured as performers at local High Schools, Churches and Hip-Hop Events. Currently Marlin is in Florida attaining his BA in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University. This has slowed but not stopped the movement of HOT City Music.
