Crimson Oath came about when my friend Jay Cash asked if i wanted to play guitar in a band he was putting together in Dec. of '06. Once Jan. rolled around we started practicing occasionally with Jay cash on vocals, Adam Fruede on guitar, Luke 'Pickle' Peterson on bass, Jay Fruede on drums, and myself on guitar.
By Feb. we had chosen some covers to do and had them down pretty well untill we ended up taking a month off because of work schedules and members being out of town and things like that. The next practice was pretty rough but not totally horrible. We were considering bringing in Dj (dont know his last name) to play synth, but then two months of no practice and our guitarist Adam left to play bass with a local band called Afilio which hindered us even more so.
After Adam left we were going to bring in Dj to play guitar but at our next and last practice, which was after a two month absence was totally horrible. I had forgotten the songs and things just sounded horrible, but that was back in Apr. Since then we have tried to get together to practice but it has never come to be, so i just made this for some instrumental pieces ive been working on so far.
The name Crimson Oath is something i came up with in my senior year of highschool. It means a blood oath, and i thought it sounded like a good name for a metal band, and the other members that i had told it to had liked it as well. Keep in mind that it will not all be metal. Just look at my influences. The music will be everything from heavy death metal, to symphonic metal, to slow love ballads, so there will be something for everyone. You are now marked on my visitor map!
