I'm a 19-year-old independent music producer, which is something I've been doing in my spare time since December 2006. I used to create my beats in Reason 3.0, but I've since upgraded Reason 4. I've always had a huge interest in music, both the composing and the performing. I first got a feel for hip hop about a decade ago during Eminem's breakthrough, who still remains my favourite artist to this day. My true interest in hip hop came about five years ago, though. I'm still much more into the old stuff than the new stuff... Well, by old I mean the hip hop from the 90's. I think there are some heavy beats being produced by people like Scott Storch and shit, but I'm not a huge fan of much of the lyrics backing these tunes up. When I listen to hip hop, there's gotta be a combination of a sick beat and sick lyrics for me to truly enjoy it. That's why I love much of Eminem's stuff, as well as 2 Pac, Dr Dre, and many more. Don't get me wrong, I still love a lot of the new stuff out there... Kanye West, 50 Cent... you know who I mean. I also really like R & B, mainly due to Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds which really sucked me into the genre. I also like a lot of cinematic and classical music, mainly because there's often lots of strings and pianos involved which are my two favourite instruments.Anyways, I'd like to give a special shout out to Kingz Platoon, they were undoubtably my biggest influence when deciding to make my own music (Big Lex, who is part of the trio, is my brother). Anyways, thanks for checking out my MySpace; feel free to leave any feedback via comments and shit.
